ITuB2 - Unlocking the Power of Artificial Intelligence to Promote Health Equity in a Value Based World

Session Description: With the release of Chat GPT 4.0, The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) seems like it is becoming a part of our everyday lives. This session will explain and define AI (including Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing etc.) ,biases related to the AI and speak to its uses in healthcare in general and community health centers in particular.

Regarding Community Health Centers, we will focus on the use of AI in population health and data driven strategies. This session will speak to the use of AI based Tools (especially in the predictive and prescriptive analytics realm) showcasing case studies amongst health centers in North Carolina and South Carolina (conducted through the PCA/HCCN) to show how these tools are being used to incorporate diagnostic and SDoH data to provide system level transformation and predict cost and quality outcomes to help improve health equity.

If AI is the future, this presentation will show how FQHCs can leverage this technology to help transform the level of care they provide and show potential of utilizing this technology throughout different levels of Value Based Care, Payment Innovation and Transformation from Quality based structures, APM to Comprehensive Population based payment.
