ITuD3 - Putting Compliance First to Optimize Health Center Operations
Tuesday, October 29, 2024
3:00 PM – 4:15 PM PT
Location: Continental 1-3 (Ballroom Level)
CPE: 1.5 CEU: 1.25
Session Description: Health centers cannot be compliant without organizational efficacy. Health centers must meet complex and demanding compliance obligations throughout the year to meet requirements for funding, licensing, deeming, accreditation, and state and federal laws. Compliance errors can result in loss of funding, substantial financial penalties, the inability to provide or bill for services, and other problems. However, the work needed to ensure compliance is substantial, time-consuming, and necessitates conformity to a wide range of timelines, formats, and complicated rules. Large centers stand to spend the most time and incur the highest risks, while the smallest centers must adhere to all the same compliance obligations as their larger counterparts with far less available staff.
See how Universal Health Center (UCHC) streamlined and automated its compliance functions through a single, integrated platform to prevent compliance oversights, ensure provider licensing, save executive and staff time, manage employee training, and leverage better incident management to improve patient care.
In this session, FQHC Founder and CEO Dr. Edgar Chavez and Compliatric COO Nate Reveley will share how UCHC has integrated and augmented compliance workflows, leading to more thorough compliance work in less time, a better staff experience, and improved safety for patients.
Comprehensive compliance management has enabled UCHC to: Eliminate billing eligibility interruptions from lapses in provider credentialing. Prevent spending a full day’s work per lapse to recertify providers. Save up to 25% of the compliance team’s time on daily work. Reduce vaccine administration errors by 75%. Streamline HRSA audits.
