Session Description: This session provides an opportunity for Community Health Centers to learn from real-world emergency responses. Speakers will present firsthand accounts of health centers' experiences during various emergencies, highlighting lessons learned to improve future preparedness efforts. Attendees will gain practical insights into how these centers navigated natural disasters and man-made events, with a focus on the challenges they faced and the strategies that proved successful. The session will cover key elements of emergency planning, such as hazard identification, coordination with local agencies, communication strategies, and staff training. Through these real-world examples, participants will discover actionable steps to enhance their own emergency preparedness, ultimately improving the resilience of their health centers and the protection of their patients and staff during crises.
