As founder and CEO, Dr. Chavez has dedicated over two decades to addressing healthcare disparities in underserved communities. His vision led to the establishment of UCHC in 2009, reflecting his unwavering commitment to improving lives.
A proud graduate of Pomona College and Stanford School of Medicine, and a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Chavez leverages his expertise to effect positive change in his community. Under his leadership, UCHC has grown from a single clinic to six trusted Federally Qualified Health Centers, serving over 15,000 residents and handling more than 70,000 visits annually, providing quality, accessible healthcare.
Dr. Chavez envisions a healthcare system built on education, prevention, and empowerment. He emphasizes equipping patients with knowledge to make informed health decisions, focusing on nutrition and preventive measures. His approach respects cultural diversity, promoting trust and effective communication with patients.
