Taina Lopez brings over a decade of experience in public health and healthcare emergency management across various sectors, including United Nations agencies, local governments, and federal, state, and private partnerships. Her roles have included Director of Public Health Emergency Response for Orange County, NY, and Senior Manager for Healthcare Coalition Planning with the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She has contributed to public health responses in New York, Kurdistan, Iraq, and the West Africa Ebola epidemic. Since joining NACHC in November 2023, Taina has been driving efforts to support health centers, PCAs, and HCCNs before, during, and after disasters. She is focused on developing emergency management training and technical assistance tailored to partners' needs, while working with national, federal, and private partners to ensure equitable representation of health centers in emergency planning and response.
