Michael R. J.. Felix CHD Strategist
Michael Felix is a Community Health Development strategist, organizer and facilitator by training and experience. Michael’s mission is to discover and disseminate methods to impact poverty and health through improving our nation’s safety net services organizing and facilitating public/private health partnerships at all levels of society.
Michael has been engaging in strategic and operations planning with FQHC’s, hospitals, nonprofit organizations, community mental health, public health for several decades Michael has been facilitating and orgaanizing best practice strategies for the MPCA since 2000.
Michael is currently coaching several individuals in health leadership, strategic actions as well as community health development techniques and best practices.
Michael has authored and co-authored over fifty publications: the most notable is Felix, M., Burdine, J., Wendel, M., and Alaniz, A. (2010). Community Health Development: A Strategy for Reinventing America’s Health Care System One Community at a Time. Journal of Primary Prevention J Primary Prevent (2010) 31:9–19 and “A Personal History of Community Health Status Assessment”, Journal of Public Health Practice, July 2017.
Michael holds a Master of Science in Health Administration from Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA. He received a certificate of completion for Shaping Healthcare Delivery Policy, Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government.
