Shelly Sital, MPH, Director of Public Health Initatives at AllianceChicago, a Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) provides her knowledge and expertise around intersection of public health and informatics to support work related to the COVID-19 pandemic, chronic diseases, emerging health issues and leveraging health related social needs (HRSN) to improve health outcomes. Shelly leads the AllianceChicago Public Health Initiatives team in preparing health centers to address and mitigate public health issues in the communities they serve. Her work includes supporting numerous quality improvement initiatives in partnership with the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC), the CDC, as well as local, county, and state health departments. Prior to joining AllianceChicago, Shelly was the Director of Operations for a large, distributed data network for which she still serves as an operations liaison. She was also the Project Director for a multi-state research study, and has supported Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation and healthcare informatics improvement efforts since 2005. Shelly holds a Master of Public Health with a focus in health policy and administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a BS in Biological Sciences with a focus on aging from the Ohio State University.
